- Turn down your thermostat by 2 degrees in winter and raise by 2 degrees in summer.
- Run dishwasher only when full and on its energy-saver mode.
- Wash clothes in cold water rather than hot, and dry half your clothes on the clothes line or drying rack.
- Plug electronics into power strip and turn off when not in use ,and insulate your water heater.
- Clean your refrigerator's coils and defrost it regularly.

- Take the bus or train to work one day a week.
- Keep tires properly inflated, and try to hypermile while driving. An easy way to do this is not to rev above 2000rpm, and no hard braking. My fuel consumption went from 1 tank/5 days to 1 tank/9 days. Easy and immediate results.
